What startups should not learn?

Startups should never succumb to whatever senior managers from larger corporates recommend. These kind of managers think that everything that works for  a larger organization is the best for every other organization. The startups blindly believes them and ruin its own strengths. Some of the common practices to be avoided by startups are;

Time accounting systems 

Blocking of social networking sites

Cost control of the free snacks and coffee at the cost of  quality

The list may sound trivial and at the same time have the potential to ruin the strengths of startups very quickly.
